Got back from the boat. Worked like mad on last minute christmas stuff. Hung with the fam. Now in the midst of a casual week, getting to hang with my brother who's in from LA, celebrated my dad's birthday, sorta looking forward to new years.

Wierd thought of the day:

I have some certainty that in the near-future, we'll get an OS for the individual body. It'll probably start off as a combat-os for special forces guys, etc. eventually it will trickle down into the consumer market. not enough of a certain protein? adjust the slider on your GUI, make sure you eat lots of precursors. don't like your hair color? adjust the settings.

I want one. Like when I was six, I wanted to be able to take a photograph and edit it. (ie, photoshop, which arrived when I was 20.) - I'd like to live long enough to see the era of the designer metabolism/genetic redecoration/designer neural os enhancements.

Ok, off to see Memoirs of a Geisha.
