Aaaaaaah. The slow time.
Done with finals, and the natural lull in the shirt world is settling in. Still got a bunch of work to do but it's all managable levels. School is done, after a rather intense week of tests, papers, and heroic tshirt production. Now is the point where I get to lean back and make some beats, see the family, revamp the shop.
What do I think I'll do while it's slow?
The shop has had a lame website for years. It's time to upgrading to a flash based system to estimate shirt costs, hopefully with a lean enough script that you can run it on a windows CE cell phone.
Converting the darkroom to an office for our new saleshuman, Mike Foster.
Untranslatable will be back as a line in 2007, we've been storing up designs for literally 20 years, the best of which will be updated and brought back. We'll be able to do one off orders, or massive store stocking, all from the same site. Of course allies and friends will have a spot for their designs along with the core line, including Gimik, who's been on a roll lately.
I've got to get over the midi master clock issue... my drum machine and my pc don't really get along. Possible relationship therapies would be: another machine which effectively acts as a clock source for each machine separately, with a clock delay that is independantly set for each outgoing midi clock... does such a thing exist? Maybe I just need ableton and a powerbook. Might it be that I need a... a... mac? After all these years, I'm finally going back to Mac? Could I actually afford a mac? Answer: yes, with student loans.
Really, I still insist that I'm living the American Dream. Please, nobody wake me up, it looks like a nice few weeks ahead.
